This collection contains the private correspondence of Thomas Goode Jones from 1861-1914. In addition to the correspondence, the collection includes financial records, court papers, newspaper clipping, and documents pertaining to railroad regulation. A map showing land ownership in Township 20, Range 10 East in Randolph county is also a part of the collection. The collection deals with topics such as railroad regulation, political appointments, and Jones' private business ventures. Correspondence of Jones' secretary E. L. May is also included in the papers.
